A moment in the dark forest,
Fires lit, wood burning,
Howls of wolves reverberating besides the trees.
Whispers of the wind that haunt you,
Sending spiteful shivers down your shoulders.
A lone warrior, courage, might and power,
Cannot compete against what was there before,
Indigenous people from lands unknown.
But you had hope,
A promise to stay alive and so,
You fought and became a survivor.
